Last School Trip

An Unforgettable Day In School Life

Four years ago, a two-day trip was organized by the art section of my school, Gampaha Rathnawali Balika Vidyalaya. This trip was the last trip of our school life. Therefore so many memories were gathered during this trip and it was an unforgettable trip in my life. 

All students came to school at 4.30 a.m. We started our journey at 5.00 a.m. We took our breakfast in the bus. First we went to Peradeniya Botanical Garden at 1.00 p.m. We saw various types of beautiful flowers and trees and we took lot of pictures of them. Then we had lunch and left the garden at 4.00 p.m. 

Next we went to Gregory Park. We had a lot of fun there. We sung songs, danced and did many many fun things. As I think Lake Gregory is among the best places to visit in Nuwara Eliya. After having fun we went to the cottage. We had our dinner at there. After the dinner me and my friends watched a horror movie and went to sleep. It got colder at night and it was quite difficult for us. So that was the end of the first day. 


The next day we woke up early in the morning and went to visit the Moon Plains (Sandathenna). We visited Moon Plains by safari jeeps. That place includes 9 prominent peaks of the central highlands which are the Pidurutalagala Mountain, Great Western Mountain, Thotupola Mountain, Kirigalpoththa Mountain, Kikiliyamana Mountain, Conical Hill, Single Tree Hill, Namunukula Mountain and Hakgala Mountain. The journey to the moon plain was beautiful because the journey was along a beautiful road where we can see the surroundings. It was also a bit like a safari trip. The view was amazing and it's a great place for a photo shoot. 


After that awesome we went to Hakgala Botanical Garden. Then we had our lunch there and we also took lot of photos with friends.

Then we left Nuwara Eliya at about 4.00 p.m. On our way back we sang songs and danced in the bus. All of us enjoyed the trip well. We came to school around 11.30 p.m.

I’m glad that we went on the trip as I enjoyed it very much. This trip was the most memorable trip that I had in my life.
